Inaugural Tournament Results
Longest - Straightest Drive     Hole-In-One and Closest To
First off, let me say Thank You to those who came and participated, and to those who came to eat, drink, watch, and provide moral support. We had a perfect day for the tourney and, based on the comments, everyone had a great time. One couple, Bob and Vivien, were especially missed. She was to bring the salad but was not feeling good. Half way to the tournament, she got very sick, turned around, and went home. More than the salad, Vivien was missed because of her golf swing and her uncanny ability to talk through it. No doubt her and Bob would have sparked the contestants to even lower scores. Which, by the way, were remarkable!! Fourteen golfers started the round with nine actually finishing. The winner in the Women's Division was Cindy W. firing a very fine eight under par round!! Second Place went to Sheena W. at four over par. Third Place was captured by Theresa M. with Glenis R.and Ruth D. tying for fourth. In the Men's Division, a course record of 15 under par was shot by Eric W. !!  Denny M. captured second place at 13 under and Bill W. was in third at 9 under par. Steve ended up alone in 4th at 3 under.  Other finishers in the men's division were: Bob B. +1, Rick M. +6, Lou D. +10, Dave M. +?, Mike R. +?  Eric explains the key to his fantastic round was "keeping it in play, no penalty strokes".  He also holed a 52 yard shot which virtually shut the door on second place finisher Denny.
Gathered around the first tee are some of the contestants and spectators being welcomed by the tournament director.  Shortly after pointing out the posted rules and several tools like a weed eater, rake, and scythe, the tourney began. You had to be there!!  What followed was a complete riot, replete with golf expletives, errant shots, giggles, grins, gripes, great shots, and groans.
What??
Visualize the perfect shot.
